Volvo Certified Collision Center
Our collision center is a Volvo Certified Collision Center, so Volvo owners in Midlothian and Chesterfield can have collision repairs done here. We also repair every other make and model, including Buick and GMC.
How collision repair works, step by step
- Get safe and document it. Photograph every vehicle, the scene, and the other driver's license plate and insurance card.
- File your claim. Call your insurer, or the other driver's if they were at fault, and tell them which shop you've chosen.
- Bring it in for an estimate. We inspect the damage and write the estimate your insurer needs.
- We work with your insurer. If we find hidden damage once panels come off, we document it and send it to your insurance company as a supplement.
- Repair and paint. Body work and paint matched to your vehicle's factory color and trim.
- Final check and pickup. We inspect the finished repair before you pick it up.
Insurance and your right to choose a body shop
You choose where your vehicle is repaired. Virginia law says an insurer can't require you to use a designated repair shop as a condition of settling or paying your claim (Code of Virginia § 38.2-517). Your insurer may still recommend a shop, and the same law lets it limit payment to the prevailing rates for similar repairs in your area, so ask your adjuster how your claim will be paid.
Hit a deer?
Deer collisions in Central Virginia peak from October through December, especially at dawn and dusk on wooded roads into Powhatan and along Route 288. Hitting an animal is usually covered under comprehensive rather than collision coverage, so check your policy. Photograph the damage and the scene, and call us for an estimate.
