Loved this car because of its reputation for safety, comfort, and dependability. It's been the family hauler for almost eight (8) years and has done well. The only complaint I have is that it's really, really, expensive to fix when things go wrong. Unfortunately, it started using oil at 50,000 miles - which we have been able to work around by adding a quart between oil changes. The real challenge, however, is how expensive it is to fix when things break. I was recently told that the exhaust system and catalytic converter may go and it's a $5,000 fix. Ouch. I figure that anytime I need to replace something, e.g., brakes, a front bearing, the serpentine belt, etc. it's going to be $1,000 repair. Fortunately, I only get a couple of those a year which makes fixing it cheaper than replacing the car. I really wish Volvo still made this car as I believe it was one (1) of their best sellers. If they did, I would buy it again.…

(Good thing it's 87 octane.) Like this one so much that last summer we bought a 2016 Platinum version of the XC70.…
